Recent developments in the investigation of the murders of Veronica Butler, 27, and Jilian Kelly, 39, have shed new light on the events surrounding their deaths. The two women were on their way to pick up Butler’s children from their grandmother when they were reported missing. Their bodies were later found on a rural property in Texas County, Oklahoma.
Search warrants and court documents reveal that the property where the bodies were discovered is owned by Jamie Beasley and leased by Tad Cullum, Tifany Adams’ boyfriend. Investigators found that Cullum had recently done significant dirt work on the property, including moving concrete and digging a hole, which he later filled. This is believed to be where the bodies of Butler and Kelly were buried.
Further examination of the property led to the discovery of a chest freezer containing the bodies of Butler and Kelly. The freezer was found during an excavation of a possible burial site, adding a chilling dimension to the case. This discovery was supported by the testimony of Beasley, who confirmed that Cullum had access to his property at all times for cattle grazing.
The investigation also uncovered blood evidence near Butler’s vehicle, which was found just west of Highway 95. This location is believed to be the initial crime scene where the murders took place before the bodies were transported to Beasley’s property. The presence of kitty litter or oil dry at the scene indicated an attempt to clean up the blood.
Tifany Adams had purchased three prepaid cell phones from Walmart, which were used in the area around the time of the murders. The phones were traced to the vicinity of Butler’s car and Beasley’s property, providing crucial evidence linking Adams and Cullum to the crime.
Search warrants were also issued for DNA samples from multiple individuals, including Adams, Cullum, and others associated with the case. These samples were intended to confirm their involvement in the murders and to match any biological evidence found at the crime scenes.
The court documents detailed the clothing and personal items that were missing from the crime scene, further implicating the suspects. Items such as a .380 Taurus handgun, clothing, and cell phones belonging to the victims were notably absent, suggesting an effort to conceal evidence.
The investigation is ongoing, with law enforcement continuing to gather evidence and build a case against the suspects. The community remains shocked and saddened by the brutal nature of the crime, as they await justice for Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelly.
