As the clock ticks down to Bryan Kohberger’s trial, the defense is calling for the trial to be moved out of Latah County. Citing a "mob mentality" and the relentless, "inflammatory" publicity surrounding the case, Kohberger’s attorneys argue that their client can’t get a fair shake in the town where four University of Idaho students were brutally killed in November 2022.
Kohberger, a criminology graduate student at nearby Washington State University, was arrested in December 2022 and has since pled not guilty.
With the trial set for June 2025, the defense is conducting surveys to gauge potential juror biases—surveys that were briefly halted but have since been allowed to continue under close scrutiny.
With prosecutors seeking the death penalty and the families of the victims desperate for justice, the stakes are high. Whether or not the trial is moved, one thing is clear: the journey to justice for Kaylee, Ethan, Xana, and Madison is far from over.
Have a great day!
