Gabrielle "Gabby" Venora Petito
Gabby Petito was a beautiful young woman who disappeared on August 27, 2021 while on a cross country "#vanlife" trip with her fiancé, 23-year-old Brian Laundrie.
Her remains were found in Bridger–Teton National Forest in Wyoming on September 19, 2021. She was 22 years old when she died. An autopsy determined that the manner of death was homicide.

A witness named “Cris” calls 911 to report that he saw a man hit a woman outside the Moonflower Community Cooperative on 100 North in Moab, UT. He stated that they both drove off in a white van with a black ladder on the back.

Shannon Baker claims to have seen Gabby’s white Ford Transit van in a parking area near Jenny Lake inside Grand Teton National Park.
“We drove through the Tetons and the only stop we made was at Jenny Lake. I’m sure of it. It had the black ladder on the back and the two black rooftops on top, the two bars, and we made the comment that would be the perfect little camper van to go around in.”

An owner of a shop called Rustic Row in Victor, ID said Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie came into her store for nearly 20 minutes.
“Brian and Gabby came to Rustic Row. They told me they were traveling from Florida. They had just been to Teton Park and they said they were interested in going to Yellowstone and I told them they could go to the west entrance. They seemed happy and when they left, she hollered back from the door that they were engaged and then I said congratulations.”

Witness Says Brian Laundrie Seen Alone in Bullwinkles in West Yellowstone, MT
A man posted his first TikTok video stating that he witnessed Brian Laundrie alone inside Bullwinkles Saloon & Eatery on August 26, 2021 at about 10:00PM. His TikTok video has since been taken down.
“There was a guy at the end of the bar that was just quiet, he we visibly bothered or mad it looked like when we came in. And I guess our conversation just irritated that fact.” He said his name was Brian and that he was from New York. He didn’t like that they were Southerners and Republicans.

According to Dr. Brent Blue, Gabby Petito died three to four weeks prior to her body being discovered. This places her date of death between August 22nd and August 29th. Because she was seen at Merry Piglets on August 27th, she likely died between the 27th and 29th.

This poster was circulated by the Pooler, GA Police Department showing who appeared to be Brian Laundrie committing “Financial Transaction Card Fraud” at sh Shell Gas Station at 196 Pooler Parkway. They later said it was not Brian Laundrie and it wasn’t Gabby Petito’s card that was used.
Witnesses Say Brian Hitchhikes from Coulter Bay to Jackson Dam, WY
Miranda Baker shares on TikTok that she and her boyfriend gave Brian Laundrie a life in her Jeep from Coulter Bay to Jackson Dam. He offered to pay them $200 for the ride. When he became confused about the direction they were traveling, he had them stop and he got out.

Witnesses Say Brian Hitchhikes from Near Jackson Dam to Spread Creek Dispersed Camping Area in Grand Teton National Park, WY
Norma Jean Jalovec told Fox 13 Salt Lake City that she picked Brian Laundrie up around 6:15 or 6:20 on August 29 past the Jackson Dam near Pacific Creek Landing. He was walking backward and holding out his thumb. She said she dropped him off around 6:30 or 6:40 MT at the Spread Creek dispersed camping area, where Petito’s remains were discovered weeks later.

Witness Thinks He Saw Brian Laundrie at Gas Station in Jackson, WY
I viewer on a YouTube video named “Chris” commented, “I’m almost positive I saw him at a gas station in Jackson on the 29th. It was later at night, maybe around 11pm? And he pulled in and was in a bad mood, cursing at himself while throwing garbage away and then driving away. It was a little chite van just like that one. I never thought anything about it until just now.”

Per the search warrant affidavit, Gabby’s white Ford Transit van was seen by a license plate reader at the Sumter exit of Interstate 75 on September 1st.
